    Psalms 73:7

KJV(i)7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

UKJV(i)7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

Webster(i)7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

    My thoughts.

Fatness symbolises sin. Those of the world are full of sin, we as believers are to be different than this.

I see what your saying. If i were just to love the world without God in my life, my greed would possibly push me to try and possess as many things as possible to fill in the empty void that only the love of God can fill. I would possibly seek to use people for personal gain and I may try to use people so i wont have to be alone in this world because without God we feel alone in this world, but knowing God means you are never alone.

3 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

    An American English Bible

23 However, you belong to the Anointed One, and the Anointed One belongs to God.

    My thoughts.
It is more important that we follow Christ because this makes us God's childeren.
